Missing Cat Found Near His Own ‘Missing Cat’ Poster

A hysterically funny photo posted on Instagram showed a missing-cat poster, with the lost cat sitting right in front of it and its owner found it sitting there in the exact same pose as that in the picture.

This is not the only time something so stupid yet funny happened. 2 years back, another kitty was spotted near its own missing-cat poster. Well, cats are cats, there’s nothing we can do about it.

My ginger cat Zarathustra is known for his ability to improve famous paintings. I am just a humble assistant to His Furry Majesty, who kindly allows me to use all my painting, photography and Photoshop skills to insert his precious images into masterpieces of renowned artists of the past.

Together we revisited more than 150 paintings and wrote a book “Fat Cat Art: Famous Masterpieces Improved by a Ginger Cat with Attitude” that appeared in English, Chinese and Korean, and Japanese edition is coming soon. And we keep working on new pieces!

Zarathustra the Cat’s apparitions at famous scenes give new meanings to the iconic works of art and you can see familiar stories from an absolutely different point of view.
Here are some new adventures of Zarathustra the cat in the history of art!

Marcel Heijnen, a dutch photographer, moved to Hong Kong and he found something intriguing about random local shops there. Most of the shops that he visited were a home to one or more cats!

He was fascinated by this unique culture of cats in stores and he didn’t take long to decide that he is going to capture this tradition with his camera. Moreover, he also made an Instagramaccount specifically for Chinese cats and uploads pictures of Hong Kong cats there, frequently. His collection consists of store cats, market cats, alleyway cats and what not!

Stray Kitty Chooses His Human In A Park, Wouldn’t Let Him Go

A kitten ran to Kawasaki Hina while he was going home through a local park. It was unclear why the cat chose to follow Hina, but he was carrying the little thing in a box back to his place before he even knew it.

“She fell asleep immediately back at my house,” Hina said. “She is like a family to me. I think she also loves me. We’ll be together forever,” he added. The kitten then was named Vell. She is now a fine 3 years old cat.

The two is apparently very attached. Vell would follow Hina’s every step around the house and keep him company while he do housework. Not even surprising, right? She’s been doing this since day one, anyway! What a cutie!

Rescue Pit Bull Gets His Own Kitty, Loves Her Like A Daughter

Rescue Pit Bull Gets His Own Kitty, Loves Her Like A Daughter
Bubba, the 7-year-old rescue pit bull, has always been obsessed with cats. It started when his human mom Rebecca Pizzello got him from a shelter in Phoenix, Arizona when he was just 3 months old. As he got home, he found out Rebecca’s roommate was taking care of her litter of kittens, and the pit bull immediately fell in love. Finally, after 6 years of longing, Bubba was given his very own kitten, which was later named Rue, by his human mom.

“I always knew he’d love having one of his own but I wanted to wait until we moved to NYC this year,” said Pizzello. She got the tiny ginger kitten from a shelter, too. “The fact that Bubba and Rue have identical coloring still blows my mind…I knew Bubba would be filled with joy the second we walked in the door and  boy was I right.”

Just after a few hours at the new home, Rue was comfortable enough to fall asleep on Bubba. “I think Rue thinks Bubba is her mom and Bubba loves it,” Pizzello added. “He bathes her like a baby and snuggles close to her to make her comfortable. They will definitely be a fun duo to watch grow up together!”

Animal Shelter Partners With Elderly Care Facility To Save Both Orphaned Kittens And Elders

Animal Shelter Partners With Elderly Care Facility To Save Both Orphaned Kittens And Elders

Being short-staffed at the time, an animal shelter in Arizona made an unexpected move to solve the problem, which was turning to senior care facility for help to take care of two orphaned kittens. “To some, it may seem peculiar at first: Residents who are in need of around-the-clock care themselves, given the task to care for these young kittens,” says Catalina Springs Memory Care Executive Director Sharon Mercer. “But there are skills, emotions, and needs that do not just leave a person with Dementia or Alzheimer’s. The desire to give love and receive love remains.”

The program is the initiative from health services director Rebecca Hamilton. Besides caring for the elders, the woman also volunteers to foster felines. She found taking care of cats rewarded her a lot of joy and happiness, and this urged her to share the pleasure with other seniors.

The initiative was successful, as the overall condition of both the kittens and the elderly has improved. The elders were asked to take care of two newborn cats, Turtle and Peaches, and both of the kittens have doubled in weight. As for patients of the memory care facility, “The kittens have given us the opportunity to nurture this human condition that lies in each and every one of our residents,” says Mercer. The joy that the elderly get from bottle feeding, socializing, and cuddling needy newborns is immense – and the kittens feel grateful too.
