A woman drove 10 hours to give a blind kitten her forever home, and the kitty decided her dog would be her best friend.

Lime the kitten was rescued along with her sister when they were just three days old. Their eyes were not developed correctly and severely infected.

Jacksonville Humane Society (in Jacksonville, Florida) took them in and placed them in a foster home where they would receive round-the-clock care. They weren't sure if the kittens would survive the first 48 hours, but miraculously, they did.

Two weeks later, the kittens bounced back and were striving. "She and her sister are totally normal kitties without missing out on anything. Their other senses are so heightened, they are able to get around with ease," their Foster Mom (@foster.rinse.repeat) said.

Bryanna Rosario from Miami, Florida saw a photo of Lime, and the sweet blind kitty immediately reminded her of her rescued kitten Lemon, who was also blind and shared the same colored coat. Lemon passed away from a heart condition but got to know love and live his life to the fullest.

She packed up and made the long trip to meet Lime. "The first time I met her, it was incredibly emotional," Bryanna told Love Meow.

"I didn't want to have any expectations of Lime after Lemon. I didn't want to force any feelings I had previously with Lemon on her. When I held her for the first time, I knew she was a whole separate cat. She is totally different from Lemon and I love her just as much."

The kitty instantly snuggled her way into her heart. "It felt perfect as if Lemon just sent her my way."

Lime was confident, brave, playful and happy from day one. She followed Bryanna everywhere around the house. Despite having no vision, she used her other incredible senses to help her "see."

"There is no sneaking around this little one. When she hears a can of food open, everyone better move out of her way."

Bryanna slowly introduced the newest addition to the rest of the furry crew in the house. Lime gained four siblings, two dogs and two older cats.

She quickly bonded with one of them - Letty the rescued dog.

Once Lime discovered Letty's tail, she was all over her canine buddy and wouldn't let her wander far away from her. A few days after they met, they were playing together and sleeping curled up next to each other.

"Letty and Lime have such a unique friendship."

"Lime will cry when I walk Letty, she is constantly seeking her out, and is always playing with her," Bryanna told Love Meow.

"Letty will go straight to Lime when she gets back from her adventures."

They are the happiest when they have each other. "When Letty has a toy, she'll try to share it with Lime in this awkward tug of war game. They are truly best friends."

Adults Were Terrified To Look At The Kitty, Until A 7-Year-Old Girl Saved Her

This disfigured kitten was seen roaming around for weeks on the streets of Istanbul. People noticed it but were just too afraid to even look at it because they described it as being ‘hideous’. But, a 7-year old girl couldn’t resist helping this little cat and decided to put an end to its miserable days.

Cat was found by the girl sitting in the middle of garbage cans – undernourished, starved and in urgent need of some love and care. She carried the kitten home and cried and begged her parents to let her help this poor creature. The parents were horrified by the cat at first, but then they saw how their daughter had made an effort in saving this cat and their hearts softened towards the cat. It was instantly taken to animal’s hospital and the vets there gave it a proper treatment, and a surgery was done to fix the damaged features.

This cat, now, looks healthier and better and its lifestyle has changed as well. The cat was named Gülümser, which means “the one who always smiles”.

10+ Photos Of Pets That Are Brothers From Another Mother

Warren Photographic, a UK-based picture library spends significant time in pet photography at the same time, what really makes it distinctive is that it matches pet creatures like a white cat with a white bunny and makes the posture adorably and afterward catches their image. These photos are taken with the goal that the pets really look related in some way or another.

"It was my mum that surfaced with the motivation for coordinating creatures when a companion proposed she attempt it with her coordinating seal-point Birman cat and smaller person bunny. I have proceeded with her incredible work" – Mark Taylor told the questioner.

"Creatures are more hard to work with than individuals since you can't instruct them… I have an associate who encourages me to prepare the creatures and shield them from strolling off set. She is fantastically great with creatures"

The punchline is that its not about what isolates us, its what influences us to join that issues the most! Also, in this situation it is the God-talented magnificence and coordinating hide!

Cat Lady Thought She Could Handle 1,000 Cats, But She Had No Idea.

Cat Lady Thought She Could Handle 1,000 Cats, But She Had No Idea.
Cat Lady Thought She Could Handle 1,000 Cats, But She Had No Idea.
She Loved Cats

This self-declared "extreme insane cat woman" flipped around her life, however there was an explanation behind her frenzy. For a considerable length of time she had remained a urban legend. At that point, she opened her ways to a meeting. In any case, when the cameramen moved toward her property, they promptly understood that this cat darling had seriously thought little of the circumstance.

She Loved Cats

How It All Started

The year was 1992, and Lynea Lattanzio’s dad needed her help to pick out some new cats to replace the two who had passed away. The California resident was so excited when she headed to the animal shelter. She wound up bringing home 15 kittens. Before the year was over, Lattanzio had rescued 96 cats. She realized she had reached the point of no return.

How It All Started

Over Her Head

"I like cats since they are  independent, they are lovely, they are simply agile, and I appreciate watching them," Lattanzio imparted to Barcroft TV.It was obvious that limiting herself to a few furry friends wouldn’t cut it for her. "When I initially begun this undertaking, I was out my own pocket for a long time. I spent my retirement, I sold my vehicle, I sold my wedding ring," she shared. Be that as it may, she didn't understand that she was in path over her head.

Over Her Head

Lowering Medical Costs

To keep the felines’ medical costs down, Lattanzio became a veterinarian technician in 1993. This also taught her how to make her cats’ lives a little better. But the feline population in her home grew and soon she found herself overwhelmed. As the kitties overran her home, she decided she needed help.

Lowering Medical Costs

The Sanctuary

As the years passed, her love for cats grew. She even entertained the notion of turning her property into a non-profit organization dedicated to helping cats find a safe home. Eventually, she managed to accomplish her goal. She created The Cat House on the Kings sanctuary. But Lattanzio still had other goals she desperately needed to meet.

The Sanctuary

Not Big Enough

The Cat House on the Kings is a six-acre sanctuary for homeless cats. It’s considered one of the largest no-cage, no-euthanasia refuges in California. 300 kittens, 800 adult cats, and a couple of peacocks call this sanctuary their home. All the animals roam free thanks to the cat proof perimeter fencing the shelter. But there's just not enough space.

Not Big Enough

Far Too Generous

In 2004, Lattanzio was gifted an entire estate by a generous donor. This allowed her to make a profit from the sale, which helped her to buy the neighboring property. Soon, she managed to expand the grounds to 12 acres. And still, her love for cats pushed her to do more.

Far Too Generous

Total Cost

“I started taking in cats, but it wasn’t my intention to have 1,000 plus cats - but it’s happened one step at a time,” Lattanzio explained. But unfortunately, the more cats she brought in, the bigger the financial burden became. It wasn’t easy paying for food, litter, staffing, vet visits, and maintenance. The total cost of her expenses was about $1.6 million a year. This proved to be quite a challenge because she had no clue how she would keep the sanctuary running.

Total Cost

A Day In The Life

As a sanctuary staff member, Teresa Angel knew what to expect each day, which started at 4 am. They fed the cats, which took anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. Fellow staff member Frank Lavers admitted he wasn’t a big fan of cats when he started working there. But that quickly changed for him as he grew more and more attached to the felines. “Every cat has different characteristics; you get to know them, they get to know you and kind of wait for you when you walk through the gate, it’s pretty cool,” Lavers explained.

A Day In The Life

Her Only Focus

Lattanzio eventually realized this was too much for her to handle. Both she and her team had given over 24,000 cats and 7,000 dogs a second chance. She even handled about 40,000 animals who were spayed and neutered. But she’s recently come to the conclusion that she’ll have to find new homes for her cats. They’ve already forced her to give up a comfortable life in order to ensure their well-being, and she simply can’t take it anymore.

Her Only Focus

No Space

The cat population grew so much that it pushed Lattanzio out of her home. “There wasn’t room for me anymore. I ended up with 60 some cats in my bedroom with dogs, and I just said that’s it, and I moved out,” she recalled. Shortly after that, she moved to a trailer home parked on her property. But the felines wanted to take over that space too. "When I moved to the trailer, I swore it would be a cat free zone, but I currently have 20 kittens and four puppies in there.”

No Space

Downsizing

“I went from a 4200-square foot, 5-bedroom home with a pool, a wet bar and a view to the river to a 1600-square foot, mobile home with a view of a rusty metal shed…” Lattanzio said. Her home was taken over by her cats. The cats are fed by the staff in the kitchen. There’s also a wood stove room for them to keep warm in. There's even an indoor kitty garden to make it easier for cats who are used to indoor living. They have a condo room with food, water, benches and beds for the cats to nap on too.

Downsizing

Sanctuary Perks

The sanctuary offers amenities like an ICU, a hospital, and a kitten and a senior quarantine zone, where felines in critical condition stay. A vet checks up on them once a week to make sure all the animals are okay. The staff also takes each animal to the vet for daily checkups, and they have 7 vet techs on duty!

Sanctuary Perks

Friendly And Ready To Go

Lattanzio’s love and admiration for her cats has no bounds, unfortunately, her finances do have their limits. Maintaining the sanctuary is tough so she’s trying to find new homes for some of her kitties. In fact, she has more than 500 of them who are “friendly and ready to go” to a loving new family.
