Mark G. is the worker from Upper Darby Township Sanitation Department that was emptying the can into his truck when he found the little kitten.

“He noticed something was moving inside one of the bags.

He opened the bag and found the kitten,”– said Justina Calgiano of Providence Animal Center They quickly contacted the local animal control for help.

When Providence Animal Center (Media, Pennsylvania) learned about the kitten, they took her in and brought her to get vetted.

They named the kitten “Grundgetta” after Oscar the Grouch’s girlfriend.

“She was sweet and innocent and didn’t deserve to be treated that way. I’m glad she’s healthy and safe,” said Mark

Tumblr User Has An Explanation For The Question: Why Cats Are Obsessed With Eating Bread

Freshly baked bread can tease your appetite better than the smell of anything on earth. But do you know that craving bread is not exclusive only to human? Turns out cats love sourdough too! We all know that cats are highly skilled predatory creatures.

It is estimated by the scientists that with more than 70 million pet cats and over 60 million strays, they account for the killing of billions of wild animals each year.

Moreover, house cats’ instincts dictate them to put their skills into use given the opportunity, they don’t just kill for food.

It is noticed that these adorable kitties often react quite unusual if there’s any delicious bread in their sight. Take this cat who is from Russia for an example, he fought aggressively for a loaf of bread from his owner.

However, Boris is not the only cat who has strong craving for sourdough, many other cats has the same interest.

Tumblr users gathered some more evidence highlighting this strange behavior.

Turn out that the thing which attracts cats is the taste of yeast. It improves their appetites better than anything.

So you should try to share with them next time, or don’t be surprise when your cat steals bread from a cupboard or sneaks in to steal our bagel.

Yeast is used heavily as a flavoring agent in many cat foods and treats. It is even used in some medication made for cats.

It is completely healthy for cats to eat bread in a moderated way. Because cats are carnivores they are not required to eat carbohydrates to survive. Big amounts of carbohydrates can lead to obesity in cats.

20 Adorable Pictures Of Freddie Mercury And His Cats

Unlike normal cat person, the Rock Star Freddie Mercury dedicate songs to his cats which is a very special way to express how much he loves his cats.

His love for cats was begun when Mercury’s girlfriend brought home for them a pair of cute cats in the 1970s and named them Tom and Jerry.

According to multiple biographers, while Freddie was on tour with Queen, he had someone named Austin to look after the cats.

He really loves the cats as the fact that while he was away, he’d get to a hotel and he would really talk to his adorable cats.

Mary – his girlfriend would hold Tom and Jerry in turn up to the receiver to Freddie talking. And this lovely action continued happening throughout the years.

According to some reports, the famous singer eventually hosted a total of 10 cats which are Tiffany, Dorothy, Delilah, Goliath, Lily, Miko, Oscar and Romeo.

Mercury considered that his cats were his family and he made sure that each cat had his or her own Christmas stocking filled with treats and toys.

Freddie got at least two cats from a charity in the United Kingdom called The Blue Cross which takes care of sick animals, said Jacky Smith, the Official Queen Fan Club leader of 21 years.

One special thing that Freddie did for his cat Jerry was the dedicated his solo album, Mr. Bad Guy, as well as the rest of his brood at the time, and extended the note to “call the cat lovers across the universe.”

.

As his love for cat, in Freddie’s last portrait for Classic Queen CD insert, he wore a striking vest with hand-painted cats featured. He also wore it for his last video, These Are The Days Of Our Lives.

Delilah was the most famous feline of the Mercury cat family which adopted in late 1987. As the lyrics to her song state (and Freestone’s book confirms), she completely took over the house and pretty much did whatever she pleased. “She was a real character, that lady!” agreed Smith. “Delilah was just kind of funny.

Freddie always treated his cats like his own children and wanted to make sure that all of them were safe and well-taken care of.

Abandoned Kitten With Huge ‘Glass’ Eyes Was Found On A Porch And Now Had A New Home

Abandoned Kitten With Huge ‘Glass’ Eyes Was Found On A Porch And Now Had A New Home

This is a story about a very special kitten named Porg. He was found abandoned in a cardboard box on the porch. When he was found he had a large wound on his neck, which was presumed at that time to be caused by some sort of trauma.

He was also a very small kitten, weighing over just 1 pound. He was taken to the ER veterinarian where his wound was repaired with stitches.

The next day he was brought in to see the doctor for a full examination. Everyone in that room described it as love at sight! He was so unusual and everyone just adored his feisty spirit – he was described as 1.3 pounds of eyeballs and sass. The doctor – who brought this story out, was suggested to foster him until he was healthy and oversee his recovery.

Well then, of course, the cat came home with the doctor that day and became a permanent member of his family.

The doctor said “At first we thought he was just unusual in appearance- he had VERY large eyes and a few other anatomical variants (like a smaller lower jaw) but otherwise, he seemed healthy.

” It was his large eyes that landed him the name of Porg, inspired by a creature in Star Wars. However, the doctor learned that he was not normal – things like grooming or scratching his ears or neck would lead to large recurrent tears on his skin, which is obviously not normal for a kitten.

“So it was during surgical repair of one of these wounds that I performed a skin biopsy to see what the underlying cause may be.

It, unfortunately, confirmed my suspicion that Porg suffered from a hereditary collagen defect, which is known most commonly as Elhers Danlos Syndrome. This is quite unusual in cats and is what earned him his nickname of a ‘glass kitten’, he is just so incredibly fragile.”

“We share a special bond with him and just adore him. It has been quite a difficult learning process finding what helps to keep his skin healthy and safe, but we now have our routine down and he has been doing great!”

Clothing has been incredibly important in protecting Porg’s skin. They are always looking for outfits that fit the best and provide the most coverage while ensuring he is comfortable.

Porg also suffers from an eye condition called lens luxations. Lens luxations have also been reported in some cats with Elhers Danlos Syndrome. At this time his eyes are well managed with daily eye drops.

Porg’s personality is described to be very active and loves to play around.

However, once he quiets down, he is the biggest cuddler and has the loudest purr.

Porg’s appearance with his feature big eyes reminds me of those cats illustrated in anime cartoon movies.. Or perhaps he just escaped from a story without the writer acknowledging it?
